Description:

Wire The SDG Line

What We Need To Make:

- nothing new

The Challenges:

This lab took the longer than any toher lab before it. Looking back, however, the difficulties that I encountered were not from the lab itself (except for a MAJOR one), but with the timming of my device.

To start off, I copied my design from lab 7 and wired it according to the labratory. It didn't work. After starting from scratch several times, I realized I was getting no where with my design. I set it aside for a few days.

Several Days Later...

After discovering what may have been the problem with the timming of my processor (mentioned back at the end of lab 6), I went back and fixed the delay on serveral devices. This fixed the hack-job timming that I had caused, and it was running with a degree of stability.

I went back and tried again. Still, it did not work. However, while I was working on it, I noticed something odd about our the program I had run. I had some of the numbers wrong. I went back and changed the program and this what I came up with:

The only difference is where ABCD is read and written from. Instead of 100/101 it was changed to 004/005. I tested it out, and it worked fine. Eureka!

Difficulty Rating (out of 5):

This lab would've have been easier if I had read the instructions VERY carefully.
